Collection Policies

Dental History Collections
The A. W. Ward Museum of Dentistry and James A. Campbell Jr. Dental Radiology collections are in storage, temporarily, and are currently unavailable for loan, research or teaching use. Documents and photographs from the CP&S Historical Society collection are accessible within the IDHCS for on-site study, by appointment only.

All forms mentioned in this policy are available upon request from the IDHCS curator.

Atkinson & Comparative Anatomy Skull Collections
The Spencer R. Atkinson Library of Applied Anatomy Skull collection (SRA) and the Comparative Anatomy collection (CA) are open to research by all qualified personnel. At the present time, all previous external loans have been recalled by the Institute of Dental History and Craniofacial Study (IDHCS), University of the Pacific (UOP). Only limited future external loans will be considered. Loans will be assessed on their scientific merit with priority given to maintaining the integrity of the collections.
